Reference use only
ThreadRef is an engineering reference tool for education and workshop use. Its thread dimensions, tap drills, clearance holes and torque estimates are generated from published standard formulas (ISO 68-1, ASME B1.1, ISO 898-1, SAE J429) and standard tables. They are provided in good faith and rounded for practical use.
No warranty for critical work
Torque figures in particular are estimates that depend on the stated nut-factor (K) assumption and the real friction of your fasteners. Always verify against the fastener manufacturer's specification and your joint's engineering requirements before relying on any value for load-bearing, safety-critical or regulated work. ThreadRef is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, and we accept no liability for losses arising from its use.
Premium
